10 Incredible Pink Places Where You Can Pose Like Barbie

The royal Hawaiian in Honolulu, one of the most iconic pink places around the world.

With the release date for Barbie looming, every social media feed has been saturated with a hundred shades of salmon. As a former 90s girly girl, I can’t say I’m complaining! To join in on the blush and bubblegum fun, I’ve put together a quick list of my favourite pink places from around the world.

From the iconic pastel cottages of Positano to flamingo fun in Barbados and dreamy beaches lined with retro-glam boutiques, it turns out you’re never too far from a Barbie-approved backdrop.

I guess it’s Barbie’s world, we’re all just living in it!

So without further ado, let’s go party in…

10 Pink Places Around the World

1. Villa Flavio Gioia, Positano, Italy

Villa flavio Positano

Located right in the centre of Positano, this is one of those pink places that’s hard to miss. It is a hotel, but you don’t need to stay there to get your Barbie-inspired shots. Simply stroll along from the church, and take a seat at this bench, with the Villa Flavio Gioia serving as your flamingo backdrop.

2. Cobbler’s Cove, Barbados

candy-striped parasols at the iconic cobbler's cove in barbados

This incredible hotel in Barbados is the ultimate lesson in playful chic. Made up of irresistible colonial cottages, sugarplum parasols and flamingo inflatables, you’ll feel as though you’ve stepped straight onto the set of the Margot Robbie Flick itself. If the room prices put you off, try visiting just for breakfast to get a taste of the peach life.

3. Ponte dei Bareteri, Venice, Italy

A giel stands on Ponte dei Bareteri in Venice, surrounded by pink walls

There are lots of beautiful pink places in Venice and of course, endless spots for photography, but the Ponte dei Bareteri was definitely my favourite. There are two bridges here so you can capture an epic shot, with the strawberry-hued buildings as your backdrop. Other pretty pink places in Venice include the hot pink houses of Burano and the rosé walls of Calle Minelli.

4. Villa Signorini, Naples, Italy

A unique pink palazzo in Naples known as Villa signorini. A girl in a bikini poses on the steps

Looking for a low-cost pink hotel where you can pose to your heart’s content? This historic palazzo is located just outside Naples with a baby pink exterior that would make Barbie weak at the knees (if they weren’t made from plastic). We stayed at Villa Signorini for one night before exploring the Amalfi Coast, because it was handy for parking and not too far from Pompeii!

5. La Muralla Roja, Calpe, Spain

The rooftop at la muralla roja in Calpe Spain

One of the world’s most well-known pink places can be found in Calpe, Spain, on the sun-bleached Costa Blanca. This remarkable apartment complex was designed by celebrated architect Ricardo Bofill and arguably, made famous by Instagram. Get your fuschia fix by booking a stay in one of the building’s Airbnbs – unfortunately, it’s the only way to get a shot with this iconic backdrop!

6. South Beach, Miami, USA

A girl sitting in a pink dress by the Betsy hotel courtyard pool

You hardly need to take two steps into Miami’s sexy South Beach before you stumble on a Barbie-worthy backdrop. From the retro American diner known as ‘The Big Pink,’ to beautiful hotels that make the Malibu dream house look low-key, there’s something for every bubblegum lover here. Stay at The Betsy Hotel (pictured above) for the most iconic Florida-Georgian courtyard pool.

7. Navigli Canal, Milan, Italy

pink buildings along the navigli canal

If pink places are your thing, you really are spoilt for choice in Italy. Milan’s famous Navigli canal has pink buildings aplenty to choose from – you’ll find two right by one of the busiest bridges. Go at sunset for extra pink points!

8. Park Guell, Barcelona, Spain

a girl in a pink dress looking over the balcony at Park guell barcelona

As pink places go, Park Guell in Barcelona might be one of the most famous on this list! Better known for its sweeping views of the city and mosaic architecture courtesy of Antonio Gaudi, this picture-perfect park is also home to a pink castle of dreams! Head right to the top of the park where you will find the balcony overlooking the city. Look to your right and you’ll see the perfect pink backdrop pictured above.

9. The Pink House Boutique, Mustique, Caribbean

The only two shops in Mustique. A pink and purple Caribbean style house backed by palms and tropical greenery.

As pink places go, this one is pretty unique! Located in the exclusive private hideaway of Mustique, this Barbie-inspired boutique is one of only two shops on the island. Inside, you’ll find some designer resort wear to help you fit in among the rich and famous, with the price tags to match.

10. Hawa Mahal, Jaipur, India

the iconic hawa mahal in India - one of the top 10 pink places to visit

This list of pink places could not be complete without the ultimate pink palace known as Hawa Mahal. This intricate 16th-century palace is certainly fit for a princess and was originally built to allow royal women to view the goings-on at the bazaar below.

Known as ‘The Pink City,’ this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to postcard-perfect pink places in Jaipur. If you’re visiting, you should also check out the painted arches of the Jawahar Circle Garden and the cerise courtyard of the City Palace.

Bonus: Pink Places in London

A baby pink home in Notting hill, London

Looking for pink places in London where you can unleash your inner Barbie? Check out:

  • Sketch Cafe
  • Annabel’s Mayfair
  • Tonight Josephine
  • Peggy Porschen Cakes
  • Girlfriend Cocktail Bar

You can also try wandering around colourful neighbourhoods such as Notting Hill to find beautiful baby-pink-painted homes like the one pictured above!

Other Iconic Pink Places around the World

craigievar castle in scotland, one of the most famous pink places from around the world

Pink places can be found in all corners of the globe! From the Royal Hawaiian in Honolulu to Scotland’s princess-pink Craigievar Castle and Australia’s astonishing Lake Hiller, there is no end to the seashell-hued scenery out there.

Have another bubblegum backdrop to share? I’d love to hear about your favourite pink places in the comments!

Teensy reminder that Santorini looks like this nex Teensy reminder that Santorini looks like this next month ✨

September is honestly one of the dreamiest times to visit Santorini.

You still get that gorgeous Greek island sunshine, the sea is warm enough to swim in, and the summer crowds start to feel a little less chaotic.

It’s also usually less windy than July and August, which makes it the perfect time for sunset catamaran cruises, beach days and wandering those famous cliffside towns without feeling quite so frazzled.

A few things I’d add to your September Santorini list:

🌅 Take a sunset catamaran cruise around the caldera
🍷 Go wine tasting and end with sunset views at Santo
🥾 Hike from Fira to Oia before the day gets too hot
🏖 Spend an afternoon on the black sand beaches
🎬 Watch a film under the stars at an outdoor cinema
🤍 Explore quieter villages like Pyrgos, Megalochori or Emporio

Ofc, Fira and Oia are still busy, but go early enough and you can get those dreamy blue dome streets almost to yourself.

Basically, September gives you the best bits of summer Santorini, but with a slower, more romantic feel.

Comment ‘September’ and I’ll send you my full guide to visiting Santorini next month, including what to do, what to pack and the tips I wish I’d known before going 🫶

Im a firm believer that things always work out how Im a firm believer that things always work out how they’re meant to 🫶

While there have been plenty of bumps in the road and I’m still learning and growing, I find it always helps to look back and think about how far you’ve come already ❤️

About 6 years ago I got made redundant from my job at a travel magazine in the middle of COVID… I was pretty devastated at the time but things have a funny way of working out. Being made redundant made me realise that being employed isn’t the only way to your dream job!

It’s not been easy, in fact it’s been really f*cking hard at times and I’ve wished I could just clock off at the end of the day. I’m still a very long away from where I want to be. But I like to believe I’m building something the little girl in these photos would think was pretty cool 🤞

So if you like going on holiday as much as I do (and always have done lol), follow along for more tips, itineraries, and a little bit of real life too 🫶

Save this for the dreamiest Provencal road trip 🍷✨ Save this for the dreamiest Provencal road trip 🍷✨

This is your cheat code to combining Provence and the Côte d’Azur in one week, without feeling like you’re constantly rushing around.

Think cobbled old towns, lavender fields, morning markets, rosé in the vines, beach clubs, St Tropez yacht spotting, postcard harbours and a boat trip through the bluest water you’ve ever seen.

The rough itinerary looks like this:

Day 1: Arrive in Marseille, drive to Aix-en-Provence and spend the afternoon wandering the Old Town

Day 2: Head to the lavender fields, then visit Bonnieux and Lourmarin for cute village strolls and lunch

Day 3: Spend the morning at the Aix markets, then go wine tasting in the countryside

Wine tasting options:
🍷 A guided château wine tasting tour from Aix if nobody wants to be the designated driver (I’ve included my top recommendation in the full guide, comment ‘Provence’ to have this sent to your DMs).
🍷 A luxe vineyard stay and cellar visit in a nearby chateau like @chateaudelagaude if you want to make it more of a bucket-list moment

Day 4: Visit Avignon in the morning, then drive down to Saint-Maxime for your Côte d’Azur base

Day 5: Take the ferry to St Tropez, explore the Old Town, then choose between a chilled Saint-Maxime beach club or a livelier Pampelonne beach day

Day 6: Move to Cassis and take a boat trip through Calanques National Park

Day 7: Enjoy a slow morning in Cassis or Marseille before heading home

It’s the perfect Provence and Côte d’Azur itinerary if you want the pretty Provence bits, the beachy Riviera bits and plenty of food, wine and views in between.

Follow and comment ‘Provence’ if you want the full breakdown, including where to stay, transport tips, wine tasting links, and beach club recommendations 🫶
