Hello and welcome to my site. I’m a UK-based travel writer, having spent the majority of my career writing for leading businesses in the adventure and luxury travel niche (check out my portfolio here). This includes everything from editorial in prestigious printed magazines, to compelling website content for start-ups. I’ve been lucky enough to travel to all sorts of wild and wonderful places, from the dark, dangerous volcanoes of Nicaragua to the crisp, white slopes of the French Alps.
I spent most of my early twenties avoiding so-called ‘real life’ with a trip around the globe, following well-trodden tourist trails including a road trip up the east coast of Australia, and lesser-known overland routes through the jungles of Central America. I ended up spending a winter season in the glitzy ski resort of Val d’Isere, where I traded blood, sweat, and tears in a tiny chalet kitchen for endless golden days on the piste.
Nowadays, I’m on the wrong side of 25 and living back in the UK, in a lovely but unremarkable town called Solihull, where I grew up. Among friends and family, I’m the go-to gal for travel tips and recommendations – they’ll tell you I’m a wizard when it comes to maximising annual leave days and might as well add ‘sourcing the ideal Airbnb’ to my CV.
Aside from travel, I’m into baking, photography, and ill-advised upcycling projects. I’m a big lover of animals and spend an inordinate amount of time looking at puppies for sale online. I’ve recently renovated my first home, and got engaged to my long-suffering high-school sweetheart. We were just 17 when he crashed into my car in the school car park, and the rest, as they say, is history.
I hope you’ll leave this site feeling inspired to go out there and explore the wilds of this world yourself. There’s nothing like heading off on a trip, armed with a long list of hidden gems to explore, anticipating adventure-filled days ahead. Stay safe out there,
